Learn how to make spaghetti and meatballs for a simple dinner the whole family will love! Cook the meatballs in the oven or crockpot and you can even make extra to freeze for later.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey or ground beef
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil
  • pinch of salt
  • optional – a few Tablespoons of hemp seeds or some shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1 (24 oz) jar spaghetti sauce
  • spaghetti noodles

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Use your hands to mix until well combined.
  3. Form into balls. I usually try to make about 16 balls.
  4. Brown the balls in oil in a hot pan.
  5. Bake in the oven at 400 for 18-20 min. (or internal temp reaches 165 – start checking after 15 min)
  6. Or, transfer to a slow cooker, add a jar of sauce and cook or 4-6 hours.
  7. To cook the pasta, bring a pot of water to a boil. Add noodles and salt and cook according to package directions.
  8. Serve meatballs over noodles with sauce.
