Learn how to make spaghetti and meatballs for a simple dinner the whole family will love! Cook the meatballs in the oven or crockpot and you can even make extra to freeze for later.
1 pound ground turkey or ground beef
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 egg
1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon basil
pinch of salt
optional – a few Tablespoons of hemp seeds or some shredded parmesan cheese
1 (24 oz) jar spaghetti sauce
spaghetti noodles
Combine all ingredients in a bowl.
Use your hands to mix until well combined.
Form into balls. I usually try to make about 16 balls.
Brown the balls in oil in a hot pan.
Bake in the oven at 400 for 18-20 min. (or internal temp reaches 165 – start checking after 15 min)
Or, transfer to a slow cooker, add a jar of sauce and cook or 4-6 hours.
To cook the pasta, bring a pot of water to a boil. Add noodles and salt and cook according to package directions.
Serve meatballs over noodles with sauce.
