Here’s an easy recipe for homemade pizza dough that you can use for your next pizza night! No need to let the dough rise – just mix it up, add toppings and bake!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1.52 tsp active dry yeast (instant yeast is fine too)*
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 2 Tbsp oil (we use avocado oil)
  • 3 cups bread flour (more as needed)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F with a baking sheet or pizza stone inside.
  2. Combine water and sugar in a large bowl and sprinkle yeast on top.
  3. Let sit for 5 minutes until it bubbles and foams.
  4. Add salt, oil and flour and stir to combine.
  5. Turn onto a floured surface and knead 5 minutes, adding flour as needed until tacky but not sticky.
  6. Form into desired pizza shape or make several smaller pizzas.
  7. Add pizza sauce, cheese and toppings.
  8. Carefully transfer to hot pan or pizza stone.
  9. Bake for 8 minutes or to desired doneness.

Notes

I originally made this with 2 tsp yeast but we’ve found we like the thickness of 1.5 teaspoons better. Play around with it and see what you like best!
