Frozen Peanut Butter Banana FAQs
Is a banana with peanut butter healthy?
Yes! Peanut butter and bananas make a great, balanced snack. The bananas provide nutrients like potassium and carbs and the peanut butter adds a little protein and some healthy fats to help this snack from spiking your blood sugar and keeping you fuller longer.
What can I use instead of peanut butter?
You could easily make these with almond butter or another nut butter. If you have a nut allergy you could use sunflower seed butter. If you don’t like peanut butter you could use yogurt.
Can you eat frozen bananas?
Yes! Bananas freeze but also stay soft enough to bite into when sliced like this. If you do find them to be too hard, let them sit on a plate for 2-3 minutes.
Frozen bananas also make a great addition to smoothies!
How to store frozen peanut butter bananas
When you first make these peanut butter bananas, freeze them on a plate or pan so that they freeze individually and then transfer to a freezer-safe bag. If you try to freeze them immediately in a bag they will all stick together in one big clump!
